Tochigi has eight resorts in total ranging from a two lift operation to a full on commercial operation.

Hunter Mountain is the largest resort in the area with nine lifts and a longest run of 3000m. Mid season usually sees a base of around two metres, which is ample. There's also comprehensive snow-making. Unfortunately, the mountain's more of a hill and advanced riders are likely to end up frustrated with the lack of fall line.

Lovers of the tranquility of the mountain setting are also likely to have an issue with music and resort reviews being blasted over the speakers 24/7.
