Most Memorable moment Skiing or Boarding	Dropping off the cornice onto an empty, east face of Mt Feathertop early on a freshies morning, cutting a few turns on the ridge line before committing to the tight chute, squealing like a school girl. Amazing how easy the hike back up is after that.

Snow Industry history	Starting with a handicap caused by a fairly serious case of non-skiing-family-itis, Simon 'Cienfuegos' Madden tripped out totally as a wide-eyed fifteen year old after taking his tentative first (metaphorical) steps on snow and has been mesmerised every since. Gradually he overcame the retardation resulting from his late start until the mountains of Australia started to strangle him with their teeny size and he looked north. When he graduated from college, he realised the best way to support an endless winter habit was probably going to be through low-level criminal activity but fearing for the uncomfotable consequences of his pretty, fresh face behind bars he chose to slave away as an instructor in the hills of the east coast of the US. He has also used his ski powers for good in Canada, the Chilean Andes and beautiful New Zealand. His life goals include marrying a woman whose daddy owns a mountain.
