For a country whose extremities nudge the Arctic Circle, sunshine is frankly a bit of a luxury. Not so in Saskatchewan. Inland of Alberta, the province positively bathes in the stuff, to the point where certain areas in the south east get an average of 7 hours a day. That's almost on a par with Perth in Western Australia.
Of course this doesn't bode particularly well us snow lovers. Saskatchewan hills tend to be hard and icy, and reliant on man-made coverage, which is hardly ideal. That said, certain resorts in the province like Table Mountain command a loyal following (particularly with beginners and snowboarders) and are worth a visit if you're looking to squeeze in an unscheduled day or two.
