The Jungfrau Region - including Grindelwald, Wengen, Murren and Lauterbrunnen encompasses probably the most impressive landscape of the Bernese Oberland.
Wengen a public car free, traditional yet trendy holiday resort (1274 m) lying on a sheltered, sun-soaked terrace, 400 metres above the picturesque Lauterbrunnen Valley. The fantastic surrounding scenery is dominated by the dramatic Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau massif. This amazing area offers family fun, hiking and superb skiing at Männlichen-Kleine Scheidegg and the Eiger Glacier.

Zurich and Geneva have their own airport railway station with direct connections to Interlaken Ost. Grindelwald can be reached within 35 minutes by Bernese Oberland rack-railway from Interlaken.

Wengen is a pedestrian village. Access by car is only possible as far as Lauterbrunnen.
Motorways from Basel, Geneva, Zurich and Berne to Spiez. From here well-built secondary roads go via Interlaken to Lauterbrunnen (Wengen is car free).

The Swiss motorways are subject to a toll. The fee is CHF 40.00 per year. Motorway stickers can be purchased at the border, at petrol stations and at post offices.
