Wengen is the ideal departure point to the Jungfrau winters sports region. In no time winter sports fans and sun-seekers can reach Männlichen by cable car or Kleine Scheidegg by rack-railway – both stations are ideally situated in the centre of the village.

Every year in January the world-famous Lauberhorn ski race, one of the most spectacular World Cup races on the Alpine ski circuit, takes place. Beginners can use the nursery slopes in the village centre.

Non-skiers can take advantage of the extensive network of footpaths and toboggan runs, the natural and artificial ice-rinks with curling rinks, or they can simply enjoy the views from one of the terraces.
