TRANSPORT: Skiers and riders at The Remarkables will benefit from the ski area’s free transport service. Full day passes, multiday passes and combo packs will now include free return transport from the Snow Centre in Queenstown to the base facilities of The Remarkables.
BASE BUILDING RENOVATIONS: Riders and skiers will find the ground level of the base building fully renovated with bigger and better children’s facilities and a more efficient, easier to access Guest Services department. We’ve worked with the space that we have to reorganise some of the departments to create more room for the kids and better flow for all guests from entry into Guest Services then onto the snow.
NEW GROOMERS: 2 new snow groomers have been included within the existing fleet to provide excellent surfaces for riders and skiers across a wide range of terrain. We have fantastic terrain parks at The Remarkables creating a real progression from novice through to advanced levels. One of the new groomers has some specialized equipment included that helps in building and maintaining our park system.
The Remarkables
The Remarkables - Where attitude meets altitude
For beginners, novices, youth and entire families, The Remarkables is the natural choice. Its high alpine location, sunny aspect, wide open bowls, and progressive network of fantastic terrain parks make it a true alpine experience for all ages. And free transport departing from the Snow Centre for all those who buy a Remarkables full day or multiday lift pass or combo pack makes this alpine playground more accessible than ever.
Base renovations mean visitors will enjoy improved children’s facilities catering for children aged three months to five years and more efficient access to on-mountain services.
The beginners’ area is equipped with three surface conveyor lifts while three chairlifts offer access to trails and terrain parks for all levels of skier and rider.
The 1.5 km Homeward Run, with 350 metres of vertical drop is widely considered New Zealand’s best backcountry in-bounds ski experience.
Famous for its terrain parks, The Remarkables has a progressive network of three parks promising fun for novice through to world-class expert riders and skiers. The park system is kept in great shape by a dedicated park team, snowmaking and a fleet of Pisten Bully snow groomers.
Non-skiers/riders love the sensation of sliding down a purpose built trail in a tube at the Ozone Tubing Park - no previous experience required.
Only 45 minutes from Queenstown, The Remarkables is relaxed and fun. The Remarkables is scheduled to open from June 20 until October.
