We have added two new high-speed lifts during the summer giving better access to Treeline and Big Sur, popular pistes on the north side of the mountain.
Work has also now commenced on Striking Peak's most ambitious development ever "the Funnel Web Funicular". By 2010, thousands of skiers and riders will be able to catch a train to the very top of the resort and ski on the glacier at 3,500 metres.
Not only will this open up yet more terrain in the resort during the winter, but because it's snow-sure 365 days, we will be able to offer skiing and riding all year round.
Just imagine it - carving down the face of the glacier in a T-shirt in the middle of summer. We're more than a little excited about that!

Strike it Rich
Just two hours from Denver, perched high up in the Rocky Mountains, Striking Peak is a world-class ski resort with over 4,000 acres of terrain and arguably the best powder in the region (dare we say the world?!).
Visitors are drawn back to Striking Peak time and time again, confident they will be able to find an unexplored corner and learn something new. It helps of course, that we have some of the widest terrain available - from perfectly groomed runs to extensive off-piste and a state-of-the-art park.
But theres our unique atmosphere too. Split between the hustle and bustle of Shooters Lane with all its bars and restaurants, and the charm of the Old Town, Striking Peak has something to offer everyone.
Theres a wide range of accommodation available, both on and off the mountain, and a night life that stops at nothing to ensure you miss the first lift of the morning! Weve got over thirty restaurants, and about as many bars and if spending all day on the mountain isnt enough to tire you out, theres a amass of other activities that will, including a cinema, ten pin bowling and an indoor climbing wall.
