Selwyn Snowfields make up an undulating winter playground that is welcoming and cozy. It is an obvious choice for a family of first timers and intermediates.
The “Give It A Go’ package ($55) is for children and adults who have never skied or snowboarded, aren’t sure if they are going to like it so don’t want to spend big bucks.
At Snow World, Selwyn’s Snow Sports School Centre, children aged between 18 months and six are put into three different aged-based Milo Mite categories. The centre has its own segregated learning area where children can be seen shifting up and down “Gentle Annie,” the moving carpet lift.
The snowfields cover 45ha of skiable terrain serviced by ten lifts, toboggan park and one snow tube lift. New for 2009 is the Township Triple Chair Lift. Selwyn Snowfields is the only “family owned & run” ski fields in Australia.
