Perisher, Australia's largest resort.

Nestled in the NSW Snowy Mountains, just six hours drive from Sydney, Perisher is Australia’s biggest and most popular alpine holiday destination. The resort boasts 47 lifts across an immense 1,245 hectares of varied terrain and four mountain areas. Open from the June long weekend until mid October, Perisher offers something for everyone. From families new to the snow to skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts, and from café cruisers to nightlife revellers, Perisher has it covered in 2011!

Perisher’s excellent Snowsports School offers skiing and snowboarding programs for everyone - beginners and experts of all ages. Extended 2.5 hours group lessons offer greater value and the chance to master your skiing or snowboarding. Tiny tots as young as 6 weeks old can be cared for at Snowy Daycare. Adrenalin addicts have access to Fusion Parks and Pipe’s awesome freeride facilities, consisting of five progressive terrain parks and the famous PSP Superpipe.

Amateurs can test their skills alongside professional skiers and snowboarders, such as Torah Bright and Holly Crawford who train at Perisher during the season. Perisher’s freeride events are the biggest and most spectacular in Australia – make sure you check them out! Tube Town, Perisher’s own snow tubing park, is a safe, inexpensive and thrilling way to experience snow without skiing or snowboarding. Slide at full speed on specially designed tubes in groomed lanes and catch a lift back to the top.

Other exciting features include night skiing and snowboarding on selected nights; over 100km of marked cross-country trails; snowshoeing tours; telemarking; children’s fun; specialty retail stores; tantalising restaurants, bars and non-stop nightlife with regular LIVE music and DJs galore.
