Nozawa Onsen Ski & Ride
Terrain
The resort summits at 1,650 metres (5,413 feet) and its from here that you get access what many believe to be the best of what Nozawa Onsen has to offer – gladed runs. In a country where this is often the exception rather than the rule, the trees at Nozawa hold some of the mountains steepest fall lines and most interesting terrain.
Outside of the trees, 21 lifts give riders access to 297 hectares (734 acres) of skiable terrain. There’s also a half pipe and a big air that’s definitely big enough to compliment a relatively tame terrain park.
The season runs from the beginning of December to the beginning of May and there is an in-season average of 390cm average snow depth. While the biggest falls come in January, February and March its not uncommon for big dumps to bless the months outside this window as well.
