With an integrated trail system including seven lifts, over 30 hectares of downhill terrain, 10 km of groomed cross country trails, several rail parks, freestyle features and three toboggan parks– you won’t be bored at Baw Baw. From the first timer through to those who like to be challenged by runs, features and backcountry, the Mt Baw Baw environment appeals to all.

Skiing and Snowboarding

Mt Baw Baw has seven ski lifts available for downhill skiers and snowboarders. There are runs available for all levels of ability right from the beginner to the more advanced. Snowshoeing and cross country skiing is available at Mt Baw Baw.

The 2010 winter season brings a new dimension to the mountain riding at Mt Baw Baw. Play in the Cactus Rail Park with boxes, rails and unique features to keep you entertained. For the more adventurous, be sure to explore the Resort's custom designed features around the mountain, strategically located to help you achieve the ultimate freestyle riding experience.

Check out their new freestyle lab. Development freestyle camps that can guide you through a progression of tricks in all areas of freestyle. Starting with flatland & slope style, which will not only improve your skills but boost your riding confidence, you'll move in to the park with basic airs and spins. Develop your rail box riding techniques with our expert instruction, feedback and Off Snow Video Analysis. After a week at their FREESTYLE LAB you will be looking at the mountain with completely fresh eyes!

 

Nordic Skiing

Mt Baw Baw was founded on cross-country skiing and the attraction to head backcountry has not dimished over the years. With 10km of groomed trails to explore, this is the perfect opportunity to explore the unique Alpine environment Mt Baw Baw has on offer over the winter months.

Mt Baw Baw Ski Association annually host the Tullicouty Cup - one of the oldest x-country ski race in the world!
