Lots of Snow, Lots of Sun!
The resort is known for great snow conditions, plenty of sunshine, and a consistent supply of dry Purcell powder.
Kimberly offers a wide variety of terrain to satisfy all ability levels. The front side of the mountain is well suited for beginner and intermediate snow enthusiasts who enjoy long, wide open groomed trails and intermediate gladed terrain.
The Easter Bowl on the backside is a haven for the more adventurous type, with steep gladed terrain, moguls and long lasting powder stashes.
Skiing
Located in the beautiful Purcell Range of the Canadian Rockies, Kimberley Alpine Resort provides beautiful views in a laid-back and friendly atmosphere. With 70 runs to choose from that range from beginner through expert, there is lots to explore at Kimberley!
Beginner skiers and snowboarders will love getting acquainted with the meticulously groomed trails on the front side of the mountain.This adventure playground has a veritable wealth of long, open, gentle fall-line runs graced with generous amounts of fluffy Purcell Powder.
With 42% of the terrain geared towards the intermediate skier & rider, there is a wide variety of trails through-out the mountain to explore. For the Advanced skier/rider, 38% of the mountain is advanced/expert and can experience the gladed and steep terrain runs that Kimberley is also known for.
Snowboarding
Snowboarders will enjoy all of the same features as outlined above in the Skiing section. In addition to all of the fantastic gladed terrain that the mountain offers (often where the best powder stashes are!).
Nordic Skiing
The Kimberley Nordic Club trail network consists of a variety of double track set trails with centre skating laneds, the longest loop being 7 km, there are also 5 km and 3 km loops. 7 km of new trail has been added to the 26 km of existing trails.There are also a variety of single track set secondary trails and a 3.3 km loop lit for night skiing.
Discover Cross Country Skiing
Experience the joy & invigoration of cross country skiing. Learn how to select XC ski equipment and clothing. Discover some helpful tips on balance & basic movement on XC skis. This 30-minute orientation runs at your convenience!
Includes: XC skis, boots & pole rentals.

Trail Access
The trails are accessed adjacent to the Kimberley Alpine Resort. Turn left to the Kirkwood Inn, the trail head is located at the end of the parking lot.
Day Use Fees
The day use fee for visitors is $5 per person per day, with a family maximum of $20.
Skiable Terrain
600 acres / 235 hectares - 26 km / 16 miles of Machine groomed double tracked trails.
Ski Terrain
30% Beginner / 60% Intermediate / 20% Advanced
Night Skiing
If you didn’t get enough during the day, experience the thrill of skiing under the lights at Kimberley Alpine Resort! Night skiing will be available on evenings from Thursday - Saturdays until resort closure.
Snowmaking Facilities
Kimberley Alpine Resort is equipped with snowmaking equipment.
Grooming
Extensive grooming of the mountain is provided on a nightly basis. A complete grooming report can be picked up at our Guest Services office, in addition groomed runs are indicated on our sign boards located on the mountain.
Ski Patrol
Our Ski Patrol has one main station at the bottom of the resort and two stations located at the top of the North Star Express and the Easter Chairs. A hospital is located within the town of Kimberley, located only 2km's away.
