Unique funicular railway transports you from the car park to the accommodation lodges
July has been powder, blue ski and more powder with sensational skiing & boarding most days. In the first week of August we've accumulated nearly half a metre of snow. The great thing is that there is still plenty of untracked snow a couple of days after a snow fall - even 4or 5 days if you're prepared to look a little harder and maybe walk a little.
In in all we're having a great season. Everyone is having a blast. Don't forget you can stay up on the mountain. Beds in some weeks have filled up fast!
We officially opened our passenger carrier that takes people from the car park to the ticket office and accommodation lodges on July 25th. What a fantastic day - cloudless blue skies, 30 cm of new powder and a great social time. The technical name for our passenger carrier is a "funicular railway", but it is officially called the "Tyndall Tramway" after its designer and chief motivator of the project Club member Art Tyndall.
No time to loose, make the most of the great winter powder conditions as spring is just round the corner. Hope to see you up at Broken River!
