Jackson Hole Mountain Resort opened the Aerial Tram, Sublette and Thunder Chairlifts giving skiers and riders access to 4,139 vertical feet of terrain.

Eldora’s legendary Corona Bowl is scheduled to open...

On Wednesday, December 14, Eldora’s legendary Corona Bowl is scheduled to open. This will add significantly more skiing and riding to Eldora’s current line up of open terrain and exceptional conditions. The trails anticipated to open on Wednesday are Corona Run, Around the Horn and Wayback.

With the recent upslope storms on the Front Range of Colorado, Eldora is experiencing some of the best early winter conditions in recent years.

New Lift and Gladed Terrain For Aspen (24-Oct-11)

A new Leitner Poma high-speed quad at Tiehack on Buttermilk, one of Aspen in Colorado’s four ski areas, will replace both the Eagle Hill and the Upper Tiehack lifts, cutting the combined ride time from 18 minutes to just under seven minutes.
Sugarloaf Adds A Quad (04-Sep-11)

Following on from the 270-acre Brackett Basin expansion on Burnt Mountain....

Following on from the 270-acre Brackett Basin expansion on Burnt Mountain, Sugarloaf in Maine has a new state-of-the-art quad chairlift in place for next winter, replacing the existing Spillway chairlifts. Built by Doppelmayr, this will be the fastest fixed-grip lift on the market.

Rugged Maine boasts the longest ski season east of the Rockies and Sugarloaf is usually open until May.


Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) New lift, Big Snow and Easy Access (25-Jul-11)

Marmot Lift. For the winter of 2011-2012 JHMR adds the Marmot chairlift – a double chair that will carry skiers and snowboarders 1200 vertical feet from South Pass Traverse, below the existing Thunder Lift, to the top of the Gondola. The Marmot Lift will significantly improve the skier flow across the mountain, making it easier than ever before to travel not just up and down the mountain, but also across.
