Spain, June 8, 2010 - Spain's leading ski resort
Spain’s leading resort, Baqueira Beret, has announced that it will install a new six-seater chairlift this summer ahead of winter 2010-11.
Baqueira Beret is investing 6.5 million euros on the new Doppelmayr chairlift, which will be named after the resort’s founder, Jorge Pozas Jordan.
Sierra Nevada, Spain, March 19, 2009 - Reports that Spain's leading resort
Reports that Spain’s leading resort, Sierra Nevada, will offer half price ski tickets after the Easter holidays and have announced that the season will last for an extra fortnight to at least mid-May because of all the snow.
The resort, Europe’s most southerly, currently has five metres (17 feet) of snow on its slopes and 100km (63 miles) of piste open.

Formigal, in the Spanish Pyrenees is currently offering free lift passes for all new reservations this season and is receiving more heavy snowfalls which began earlier this week.
The latest dumps, which are predicted to last all week, come on top of weeks of snowfalls which have left the resort with depths of more than two metres.
Throughout Easter Week, eggs will be hidden around Formigal, both on the slopes and in the village.

Five times Olympic gold medallist, Sir Steve Redgrave, found Formigal an ideal family resort when he took his wife and children there for half term, the Spanish resort reports. The Redgraves enjoyed a week of thick snow, blue skies and hospitality at the resort in the Pyrenees. But what they found most surprising was the lack of crowds.
Sir Steve said: “I think it’s a great family resort. It was very quiet which was a good thing.
