The start of the ski seasons at dozens of southern hemisphere resorts in Argentina, Chile and new Zealand have now been delayed by warm temperatures preventing snow making and a lack of natural snowfall.
In Argentina, the largest resort of Catedral at Baroloche, already facing problems with volcanic ash from a nearby erupting volcano, has delayed opening due to a snow shortage.
In Chile Valle Nevado has also postponed opening to the start of July, but Portillo
