In the last 3 days the resort has received over 50cm of new snow on the mountain. The resort reports that the mountain was already in great shape this year and the recent snowfall has made conditions incredible.

David and Victoria Beckham who have become regular figures on the slopes of Courchevel and Verbier were spotted on a pre-Christmas indoor ski trip with their sons to the Snow Centre at Hemel Hempstead to the north of London.

One off the Beckham’s sons had a ski lesson, the other enjoyed free skiing with his father.

Snow reporting agency www.Skiinfo.co.uk has reported that nearly another 1.5m (five feet) of snow in the past week has left Mammoth Mountain in USA with more than three metres (10 feet) of snow lying.

The famous Californian resort now has the most snow in North America and is third in the world behind the Italian glacier Passo Tonale which has a 4.2m (14 foot) base but measures snow accumulated year round, and another Italian resort of Pejo.
