The NZ Airline Pilots Association (NZALPA) is looking forward to carving it up in fantastic snow conditions at Mt Hutt from Monday (August 18) as the association again holds its international ski event at the high country ski area.This year marks the 17th running of the event and will attract Pilots and Air Traffic Controllers from around New Zealand as well as Australia and Asia. Already more than 100 people have registered for the event.

Doppelmayr has completed a new gondola with eight passenger cabins which reaches 4,843m above sea level in China. The lift accesses The Aba Great Glacier in Sichuan province, about six hours driving time from regional capital Chengdu.

Some of New Zealand’s best freestyle skiers and snowboarders are lined up to excite the crowds at Earnslaw Park in Queenstown on Friday (8 August) as part of this year’s Parklife Invitational.
Thirty skiers and riders will rock the Park from 6pm when audiences can expect to see some outrageous moves on display as competitors vie for $5,000 in prize money. Sponsored by Redbull, this is the 6th year the popular event has been staged by The Remarkables.
