Red Mountain Resort is hosting a Ski Free Day for Johan! On Friday, February 27th everyone is invited to come out to Red and ski or snowboard the entire day for FREE! Free lift tickets may be picked up from the Ticket Office window. Lifts will be operating as regularly scheduled from 9:00am – 3:30pm.
Guests are encouraged to enter one of our Red’s many raffles in support of Rossland local Johan Kruus.

New season brings lots of new things to Oakley Girlsessions event. We thought it's time for our traditional team contest to step a side and give a new contest format for the sessions! On our 5th year organising the Oakley Girlsessions last spring we had nearly 100 participants. How many this year? Hopefully 200!!
Slope Style contest will be more international and the Oakley Girlsessions has got a TTR 3 Star Status.

Lake Wanaka, New Zealand (February 19, 2009) - Eleven athletes from the New Zealand Special Olympics team arrived home yesterday, proudly displaying their medals from the 2009 Special Olympics World Winter Games in Boise, Idaho, 7-13 February 2009.
The team competed in alpine skiing, snowboarding and figure skating with snowboarder Robin Matthews, Auckland, and alpine skier Thomas van der Lugt, Otago taking home a gold medal each in their respective sports.
