Lake Wanaka, New Zealand (Friday August 7, 2009) New Zealand’s top Alpine Ski Racer, Ben Griffin has won yet another FIS race, securing gold in the Men’s FIS Giant Slalom (GS) at Treble Cone today. Mitchey Greig topped the podium in the Women’s GS.
Griffin, of Ohakune, has maintained his winning streak since Monday where he placed first in Super G, followed by gold in slalom on Tuesday.

Les Arcs will add its latest six seater chairlift this winter with the installation of the new Arpette chair. The aim of the new lift is to carry skiers more comfortably and quickly to the top of Arc 1600/1800 ski area, and to get to Arc 2000 area much faster.
The new lift replaces the old double chairlift that was also called “Arpette” as well as the “Col des Frêtes” lift.
