In less than two weeks, many of the world’s top skiers and snowboarders will converge on Wanaka, New Zealand to participate in the return of the legendary World Heli Challenge.
Athletes from eight countries will be represented including Travis Rice, arguably one if not the rider leading the charge as snowboarding’s progression continues to skyrocket.

Mt Hutt is gearing up for an adrenalin-filled month as international athletes begin to arrive for the 2010 competition season.
Some of the world’s best skiers are booked to train at the Red Bull International Race Training Arena in preparation for the alpine racing season which begins with FIS (International Ski Federation) races in New Zealand, then moves to the Northern Hemisphere for the World Cup Circuit.

Snow Park NZ officially announced their highly anticipated new 22ft Olympic sized halfpipe is now open today.
Today also marks the first 22ft halfpipe to open in the Southern Hemisphere this year. Snow Park NZ team riders were given the first ride of the pipe and all agreed it was well worth the wait.

The predicted blizzard arrived with heavy snowfalls across the entire
resort, starting early yesterday morning and continuing through to the
wee hours of today, with 25cm received overnight alone! It's cleared up
today and the resort is looking good!
