Crystal Mountain, USA, April 18, 2010 - Crystal Mountain resort in North Western USA

Crystal Mountain resort in North Western USA will add a new Doppelmayr gondola for next winter. Work is due to begin on the new lift on Monday, April 19th the day after the resort closes for the season.

The gondola’s base terminal will be where the current Mountain Market/Bumps Espresso is located and bring passengers to the top of Rainier Express and the Summit House.

New Ski Centre Under Construction In Turkey (11-Apr-10)

A new ski centre is being built in Turkey in readiness for the 2011 Universiade Winter Games which will be staged there next February in the ancient city of Erzurum.

The new resort will stage Super-G, Slalom, Giant Slalom and Super Combined Alpine ski races.

The new ski area, Konakli, will be the second for the city along with the established resort of Palandoken which will host snowboarding events.
