Skiing and riding on Whistler Mountain will take place until April 20. Spring skiing continues on Blackcomb Mountain from Monday, April 21 through Sunday, June 8.

WHISTLER, BC, April 1, 2008 – Investigators have uncovered a scandal involving North America’s premier ski resort, Whistler Blackcomb, and the notorious and unpredictable ‘Old Man Winter.’

According to investigators, Whistler Blackcomb paid Old Man Winter an undisclosed sum of money to “delay the arrival of Spring.” Whistler Blackcomb has received a total of 959 cm (31.5 feet) of snow so far this season due to Old Man Winter.

Calgary, AB – April 1, 2008– Fernie Alpine Resort will host its annual Powder, Pedal, Paddle Relay Race on Saturday, April 5th.

Fernie Alpine Resort will host its annual Powder, Pedal, Paddle Relay Race on Saturday, April 5th. An annual favourite, the “PPP” has been going strong since 1984. The race is a fun, yet competitive relay, where teams of 1-5 people ski, bike, paddle and run their way down the mountain, to town, and back to the ski resort plaza.

The race is followed by a dinner for all competitors and an after party for competitors over 19 years of age.
