Mountain Ziplining Takes Flight On June 28th (23-Jun-08)

North Vancouver, BC June 23, 2008 - It's time to get airborne!

It's time to get airborne! Air Grouse Mountain Ziplines will launch on Saturday, June 28th! Vancouver's greatest new adventure is coming to the sky above Grouse Mountain in a mere matter of days. Phase 1 of the Air Grouse Mountain Zipline experience is a 3-line adventure circuit that will give you an exhilarating perspective on the Blue Grouse region, with top speeds in excess of 50km/hr. Combine heart-pounding thrills with an exploration of BC's breathtaking old growth forests.

“We are excited to launch Air Grouse Mountain Ziplines,” says General Manager Michael Cameron. “These mark Vancouver’s first ziplines and are the first in a series of lines planned on the mountaintop. Our guests are ready for the adventure and we have a long list of guests eager to ride the first lines on opening day. Our newest attraction brings a new level of adventure to Grouse Mountain.”

The first lines take guests over the Blue Grouse Lake area with views of the Hiwus Feasthouse, Bear Habitat, and includes interpretive sessions on the areas flora and fauna. Mountain ziplines are a unique addition to Grouse Mountain’s many summer activities and afford a spectacular vantage point unlike anything else in the city. With a day’s agenda to include alpine hiking, the World Famous Lumberjack Show, Birds in Motion Demonstrations, Screaming Eagle Chair Life Rides, the Refuge for Endangered Wildlife, the Theatre in the Sky and more, Grouse Mountain truly has an adventure for all levels of thrill seekers.

Stay tuned for Phase 2, launching  in the Fall of 2008. Visit often for updates.  The Mountain zipline circuit is $70 for all visitors less the cost of their Skyride ticket. $40 for Grouse Mountain Membership holders. To get ‘ziplining’ more quickly, guests can book online at or contact our Guest Services Team at. 604.980.9311. Air Grouse Mountain Ziplines are open daily from 10am -7pm.
