Kyoto Prefecture only has a couple of resorts and these are small in size and not really suitable for the seasoned skier/rider. They're geared more to the family skier.

Conditions are not up to Japan's high standards. That said, snow does fall here.

The prefecture also has many other tourist attractions that are worth a look if you're in the area.
