To say you're spoilt for choice with resorts this side of the Rockies is somewhat of an understatement. As if Whistler alone wasn't enough, British Columbia (BC) can claim Big White, Kicking Horse, Silver Star and Whitewater as its own, as well as a whole bunch of other lesser-known - but equally rock 'n' roll - destinations.

Of course it's no coincidence that the best resorts in Canada are found here. The snow in BC is legendary and Vancouver International airport is little more than two hours away, making the province a pretty easy place to get to, even after a long-haul flight. And if - heaven forbid, you should get bored on the slopes, Vancouver city itself just happens to be a pretty fine place to spend a day or two.
