Here at Perisher Blue, August is the month for truly impressive events! Over the next few weeks, Perisher Blue will host a star-studded line-up of athletes, all eager to etch their names into record books or take home national titles. Spectators can cheer on the biggest names in the sport as they style it up in the PlayStation Superpipe, snake their way along the world's longest rail and negotiate moguls at incredibly high speeds.

Here is a list of events, which you can expect to see during the month of August:

The PlayStation Australian Halfpipe Championships
Australia's best halfpipe skiers and snowboarders, including international stars, will go head to head in the PlayStation Superpipe for the coveted title of National Halfpipe Champion.

Australian Freestyle Moguls Championships
Australia and the world's top mogul skiers will hammer it out on Toppa's Dream. International competitors from the USA, Austria, the Czech Republic and Japan, including female world number one Aiko Uemura, will be competing against our country's finest.

Salomon Rail Slide
This season, the Salomon Rail Slide is making its inaugural appearance at Perisher Blue. Watch skiers tackle the world's longest rail to see who can measure up and take home the $7,500 in cash and prizes. This new event will see 20 invited skiers take on 30 trialists in an impressive display of athleticism, agility and showmanship. We may even see a World Record for the longest every rail slide on skis!

Boost Mobile Sno Sho (presented by Samsung)
This is the most exciting event of the month! In a game show style format, the best snowboarders will try and conquer the Sno Sho Wheel and the world's longest rail. The question is, who can beat the world record of 53.4m that was set in 2007?  It is certain to be a big night under the lights on Front Valley.
