Yesterday's Ferocious Winds Had An Upside - A Blanket Of Fresh Snow! (15-Sep-08)
Falls Creek, September 15, 2008 - This morning Falls Creek Alpine Resort alpine has a mid-winter look
This morning Falls Creek Alpine Resort alpine has a mid-winter look and a feel like temperature of minus 13.9C. Dry, fluffy powder is in abundance for skiers and boarders who are lucky enough to be at Falls Creek today.
With about two weeks to go the overnight snowfalls has ensured the remaining days of the 2008 winter season at Victoria's largest alpine resort will be most enjoyable.
Virtually no lift queues, very affordable accommodation and lower-priced ski lift passes, ski less and ski equipment hire are an attractive combination.
If you have an opportunity to take a couple of days off now would be a good time to head for the snow-covered slopes of Falls Creek. Remember there isn't too many days left before the ski lifts are closed until next winter!
