World's Oldest Indoor Snow Centre's Future In Doubt (04-May-09)
Ski Casablanca, Belgium, May 4, 2009 - The operational status of the world's oldest
The operational status of the world’s oldest surviving indoor snow centre, Ski Casablanca in Belgium, is currently in doubt.
A notice on the centre’s website says, “The ski centre is closed during the summer for an indefinite period.”
Ski Casablanca was one of the first three in the world to commence operations more than 20 years ago in the late 1980s along with centres in Australia and Japan which have ceased trading.
