Winter Arrives At Kimberley Alpine Resort (16-Nov-08)

With just one month to go until the projected opening day at Kimberley Alpine Resort, winter has arrived with fresh snow from top to bottom on the mountain.

Recent accumulation on the top of the mountain was 21cm, a “healthy dump” as the countdown to ski season begins. The region is also counting down to the inaugural Salt Lake City to Cranbrook direct air service, which will begin direct flights three days a week on Delta airlines to and from the Canadian Rockies International Airport starting on December 17th.

The ski resort is scheduled to open for the weekend of December 13 and 14, with 7 days a week operations starting on Decmeber 19th. Please check www.skikimberley.com for regular updates.
