The UK Snowsports Summer Weekender 2010 in Zermatt (26-Apr-10)

Zermatt, Switzerland, April 26, 2010 - The summer weekender is back

The Summer Weekender is back for its fourth consecutive year from Thursday 15th - Sunday 18th July in Zermatt, Switzerland.

“After three hugely successful years in Tignes, we're having a change of scene this summer and moving the Weekender to Switzerland and the highly desirable resort of Zermatt.” said Emma Morris, Marketing Manager of Natives.co.uk and GONEboarding.

The event was created for people that work in the Snowsports industry to give everyone a snow fix in between seasons. The weekend is an opportunity to network, party and race on the glacier.

The weekender includes two races on the glacier, the Ski Club of Great Britain Giant Slalom and the Metrosnow.co.uk Team Dual Slalom.

There will also be the chance to take part in the Matterhorn Mystery Challenge, details of which will remain secret until arrival, but will no doubt involve some super sleuth skills. 

Plus there's plenty of time to take part in the Team Tournament and enjoy the other delights that Zermatt has to offer, such as mountain biking, hiking, paragliding, tennis, golf, high ropes course, cheese tasting, as well as the local nightlife including some late club venues.  

The event lasts four days (three nights) and the package costs £149 and includes bed and breakfast accommodation at Hotel Rhodania, a two day lift pass, entry in to the two races, a welcome night dinner courtesy of Nelly's, entry into the Matterhorn Mystery Challenge Entry and into the Team Tournament, Giant Slalom training from Impulse Racing and prize giving and a fancy dress night at Nelly's.
