The Coca-Cola Spring Carnival Is Underway! (15-Sep-08)

Perisher Blue, NSW, September 15, 2008 - The Coca-Cola Spring Carnival is underway for the 4th season running

The Coca-Cola Spring Carnival is underway for the 4th season running! The Resort has been filled with a festive feel and guests have been enjoying a host of daily entertainment as well as great spring skiing and snowboarding.

Perisher Blue has a fantastic springtime cover across the entire Resort. The total accumulated snowfalls for the season is 315cm. On Monday 15 September 15cm of snow settled across the slopes, making the 2008 season the best for snowfalls since 2004. At present there is plenty of snow and sunshine on offer, making for excellent Spring Carnival conditions.

During the second week of the carnival, Monday 15 to Sunday 21 September, guests will be treated to LIVE music daily outside Jax Bar & Chargrill on Front Valley. Soul and folk rock band Three Quarters Hazel will be playing on Wednesday 17 from 12 noon onwards and the Blues musician Cass Eager will grace the stage on Tuesday 16. Acoustic / folk rock band Benjalu, Mode 2, Mark Lockyer and the alternative rock group Lounge Act will also be playing.

Entertainment for the kids will include a jumping castle, appearances by Perisher Blue's mascots Professor Nugget and friends, plus Go Go the Clown from 11am to 4pm daily. Tube Town will be open daily from 10am till 4pm. Make sure you head over for a slide, it is the greatest family fun-loving experience around! On Wednesday 17 September it is Smiggs Kids Night Skiing on a ski carpet and fireworks from 6pm.

According to Neil Thew, Public Relations & Business Development Manager, " The Spring Carnival is a load of fun for the whole family. Perisher Blue has lined up a host of sensational bands and acts suitable for everyone! Plus, there is a great springtime cover across the Resort fantastic for skiing and snowboarding!"

Night Skiing: Every Tuesday night this September! The Village 8 Express will operate from 6.30 to 9.30pm, allowing guest the opportunity to slide under the stars on Front Valley (kids ski FREE with a valid Mountain Pass).

Fireworks: On Front Valley from 7.30pm Tuesday 23 September.

Schnapps Tasting Night: Join in the fun at the Sundeck Hotel on Thursday 18 September.
