TCRA Prepares For Elite FIS Race (27-Aug-09)

The Treble Cone Race Academy has been training diligently throughout the season and it has paid off in the world class events around New Zealand this winter.  With successful finishes at the Japanese FIS Cup last weekend the TCRA has been using the momentum for the upcoming Elite FIS Race at Treble Cone September 1st and 2nd.

The Treble Cone Race Academy will represent about one third of the field with athletes from NZ and around the globe. The program attracts a variety of elite skiers including Christian Hogan from Norway, Jon Olsson from Sweden, Kilian Albrecht from Bulgaria (top 30 in the world) and those from the British Development Team among others. 

“Our World Class infrastructure - including coaching staff, training facilities, snow surface preparation, lodging, nutrition, transport, and training equipment - provides an environment that gives our athletes the best possible opportunity to improve and perform,” said Director Guenther Birgmann. 

With their high quality training program the TCRA has gained a reputation that continuously attracts National Teams from Austria, Norway, GermanyUSA as well as stand out solo athletes seeking a performance program without the confines of competing as a team.  

TCRA has a variety of programs targeting everyone from the most elite skiers and NCAA Athletes to up-and-coming youth skiers looking to lower their world ranking for the approaching winter in the Northern Hemisphere. TCRA has and continues to draw the world’s best skiers down to Wanaka and Treble Cone.
