Grouse Mountain's Slopes Re-Open This Friday

Grouse Mountain is ready to welcome skiers and riders back to our slopes at the Peak of Vancouver this weekend just in time for the arrival of long awaited sunshine.  Perfect spring conditions can be found at the top of The Cut where we still have a base of approximately 400cm for snow enthusiasts to enjoy. We encourage skiers and riders to dust their gear off, make the most out of their Y2Play passes and mark one of the longest winter seasons in Grouse Mountain’s history.

“Our mountain operations team has been busy preparing the slopes for this coming weekend and it should be exceptional spring skiing conditions”, says Michael Cameron General Manager for Grouse Mountain.  “All our summer activities will be fully operational and we are pleased that this June we can appeal to both snow and sun loving alpine enthusiasts”.

Skiing and riding will commence this Friday, June 3, from 2pm to 8pm, followed by 9am until the puck drops at 5pm on Saturday. The same hours of operation (9am to 5pm) will also apply on Sunday. The Screaming Eagle chairlift will be open to allow access to The Cut, Side-Cut, Buckhorn and Skyline runs.  For our out of town guests, we will also be offering a Learn to Ski & Ride in June package for $150 which includes equipment, lesson, lift tickets and clothing rental. The snowshoe Grind and all our other great summer activities also remain fully operational as does the Skyride seven days a week from 9:00am until 10:00pm. 

After a great day on the slopes join us for après at Grouse Mountain’s Altitudes Bistro this Saturday. We will be showing Game 2 of the Stanley Cup final on all our big screens and it will round off your ultimate day - spring skiing and riding followed by cold beverages, snacks and a Canucks victory.  Grouse Mountain’s aim is to remain open on weekends throughout the month of June, weather and snow permitting. Operations will be reassessed daily.
