Snowfalls And Snowmaking At Falls Creek (06-Jun-11)

Up to 10cm of snow overnight...

Up to 10cm of snow overnight and more snow is forecast everyday this week and snow has been made overnight on Towers, Drovers and Wombat's Ramble. 

"This is a dream lead up to our winter season opening this Saturday" says Debbie Howie spokesperson Falls Creek "It looks like we'll have snow for opening weekend and a likelihood of skiing and boarding, it'll be a fun weekend to head up to the resort".

Temps are currently minus 4.3 degrees, forecast to drop to minus 6 degrees this morning with a windchill of minus 9.1.  Winds are from the south west.

"This is a perfect start with the natural snowfalls plus sub zero temps creating perfect snowmaking conditions" says Howie.
