Snow Dump For Coronet Peak And The Remarkables (08-Aug-10)
New Zealand, August 8, 2010 - Queenstown's snow revellers
Queenstown’s snow revellers enjoy the aftermath of a huge snowfall at Coronet Peak and The Remarkables this weekend.
Coronet Peak Ski Area received a generous 45cm blanketing of new snow while The Remarkables reported a total of 33 cm of the white stuff. (Bringing base snow levels to 110cm at Coronet Peak and 95cm at The Remarkables)
NZSki CEO James Coddington said conditions were likely to remain glorious for skiers and boarders for at least the coming week.
“This is an impressive dump of snow and more is predicted later in the week for The Remarkables. Right now there is fantastic skiing and riding across both mountains,” he said.
