Niseko Progression Week Tours Available Now (12-Jan-10)

Mint Tours, January 12, 2009 - Travel Blog from Niseko Progression Tours

Hey guys,

As the rest of the Northern Hemisphere gets pounded with snow, remember Japan is experiencing the same winter conditions with some major snowfalls being recorded this season.

I just got back from Niseko after having some of the best turns of my life (see above!). The township of Kutchan 15 mins from Hirafu (best Sushi Train around by the way) scored a remarkable 1 meter of snow in 36 hours! So as you can imagine Niseko was ON.

We teamed up with the boys from Snow Trainers in Hirafu for some exclusive freestyle coaching on and off piste exploring. Thanks Matt for your expert photography.

Late February / March is a great time to get up to Niseko as it's shoulder season, meaning discounted prices on all levels of accommodation. Some apartments are offering up to 40% off their regular rates!

This combined with fewer crowds and an already established snow base, make March a smart option to experience the best powder around.

Email me any questions you may have about accommodation, backcountry touring, Rusutsu day trips, freestyle coaching or even where the best food is!

Niseko Progression Tour.

Experience the deep powder that Japan has to offer without having to battle the usual lift lines. Finish each day relaxing in an Onsen, enjoy authentic Japanese culture & food while staying in luxury apartments in the central village with fully equipped kitchens.

The Niseko Progression tour is aimed at those wanting to improve their skiing or riding in all conditions, therefore, instruction and guiding is personalised for any ability including essential backcountry safety information.

Much like our Wanaka Progression tour, this program is designed for any rider or skier wanting to progress their skills in the backcountry, as well as checking out the incredible areas of Niseko, Rusutsu and Kiroro (weather permitting).

Prices start from $995 per person, including; accommodation, lift passes, transport, transfers, photography and constant expert guiding and instruction.

Keep in mind Mint Tours can assist with the quoting of any Niseko holiday you have planned this season. We have access to some of the best apartments and lodges in the region, as well as genuine 'true locals perspective'.

See you soon!
