New High Speed Lift For Les Arcs (04-Jul-11)

There will be some big changes at les arcs next winter...

There will be some big changes at les arcs next winter with a superb new spa at Arc 1950 and the remarkable Edenarc accommodation development at Arc 1800 but on the slopes too there’ll be a few improvements.

The biggest will be seen at Arc 1600 where the chairlift Mont Blanc will be replaced by a new bigger and faster lift.

This new detachable chairlift will provide direct access to the “Les deux têtes” area.

As a result the old “Les 2 têtes” and “Pierre blanche” ski lifts will be removed.

The aim of the changes is to improve the flow of skiers and boarders in the area and remove bottle necks as well as making it easier for people to go to Arc 1800 and Arc 2000.

And right across the vast Les arcs ski area the resort is spending on new standardised signage which will direct people not just to the pistes but also to the growing list of other attractions and activities on the slopes including the resort’s ice cave, sledge slope “Rodeo Park”, speed slope, waterslide, boarder cross and so on.
