New Fast and Slow Runs At Cervinia (10-Nov-10)

Cervinia, the leading Italian resort that’s lift—linked to Zermatt in Switzerland..

Cervinia, the leading Italian resort that’s lift—linked to Zermatt in Switzerland, has announced one new, and one re-designed black run for the coming winter (which is actually already underway at both resorts). There’s also a new ‘slow skiing’ zone.

The two black will descend where the towering south face of the Matterhorn looks directly down on skiers and snowboarders.

On the first run, experienced skiers and boarders can test their technical skills on the first “Vertical Ski Passage”. The second run is the former piste No. 24, a little less loaded with adrenalin - but only just. This season the run has been re-routed, lengthened and widened.

Also new is The Slow Ski area, “Slow skiing means taking your time, breathing nice and easy to the slow rhythm of time, switching off and marvelling at this unique panorama. Slow Ski is skiing with soul, relaxing and revitalizing.” says the resort.
