Nakiska Ski Resort Opens National Training Centre On Nov 7th (05-Nov-09)

Nakiska Ski Resort, Alpine Canada's National Training Centre, will be open to pre-booked Ski Racing Teams on Nov 7th.  The early opening will help training athletes achieve that "Olympic edge", a high priority when hosting Team Canada!  Being less than 100 days out from the Olympic Games, every practice run counts for both Albertan and Canadan athletes training for 2010. "In this Olympic Year, the Nakiska Ski Resort Team feels it is vital to provide athletes the 'Canada 1st' Advantage" says Matt Mosteller, VP of Sales & Marketing.  "Every extra turn will make a difference and we want to do all we can to support the Canadian athletes in their pursuit of excellence at Canada's Olympics" added Mosteller.

Nakiska Ski Resort aims to be open for public skiing and riding on weekends starting November 14th (Open 7 days/wk starting Dec 5).  This is the earliest opening in history for Nakiska Ski Resort, aligning with the few mountain ski resorts in Canada who have such early season openings.  With this, Nakiska Ski Resort plans to have, what could be, the most vertical and longest fall-line ski runs open at this time of year.
