Mt Hutt Ends Season On High (29-Oct-08)

Good snow conditions, warm temperatures and live music combined to produce an awesome day for visitors to Mt Hutt on Monday (27 October), the high country ski area’s final day of the season.

Mt Hutt had officially closed on Sunday 19 October but reopened for four days over Labour Weekend giving skiers and riders another opportunity to enjoy the high country resort’s great spring conditions.

Mt Hutt Manager Dave Wilson said the reopening was fun for everyone.

“I can’t think of a better way to cap the season we’ve had. We were treated to four great days of skiing and riding and it was a personal highlight to see so many families enjoying the fantastic atmosphere on our final day.”

Mt Hutt received 6m of fresh snow throughout the 2008 season building up to the magic 3m base in September – the largest base in more than a decade.

Mt Hutt will reopen again on June 13th 2009.
