Mt Buller has been named Australia’s best snow holiday destination in Travelling in Australia magazine’s search for Australia’s Top 20 travel experiences.

An international panel of Australian travel specialists looked at travel experiences right around the country to come up with a Top 20 listing of ‘must try’ travel experiences we should all have on our to do list.

Travelling in Australia editor Chantal Dunbar announced the winners, “This award is a significant acknowledgement of [the winning destinations’] contribution to, and recognition from, the tourism sector. Securing a place on this list is an impressive accomplishment.”

Mt Buller has long been a popular ski and snow destination for Australians and has some unique qualities that contributed to winning the award as “Best Snow Experience in Australia.”

Mt Buller offers visitors a warm welcome in a lively alpine village nestled up in the snowline, the most on-mountain beds in Australia, the state’s largest ski lift network and over 300ha of terrain.
