February 23, 2011 - Fernie Alpine Resort and Monster Energy are excited to shed, or should we say “shred” some light on the brand new event, taking place Saturday March 5th :   Monster Energy  BIG BUMP BASH!   Monster Energy will put on a throw-back to the fun and freestyle of the golden age of skiing with a mogul contest like it was meant to be  -  daffys, tight pants, and skiing with style, not speed.  Competitor entry is FREE (ages 16+) and there is lots of fun for everyone to enjoy with live music, beer gardens, BBQ and appearances from Monster athletes:  TJ Schiller, Kye Peterson, Mike Hopkins, Luke Van Valin and Ian Cosco!

Online registration is now open at www.skircr.com/compete. Day of registration will be available if spots are open. Registration categories: Juniors (ages 16-18), Adult (ages 19-34) and Masters (ages 35+). Competitors will compete in their respective categories to determine the ultimate style winner!

Schedule (subject to change)

9:00am-11:00am: Check-In & Registration Open (Daylodge)

11:30am: Mandatory Competitors Meeting (Monster Energy tent at the bottom of the course (bear run)

12:00pm-3:30pm: Big Bump Bash happening on the Bear Run! Competitors will compete in their respective categories to determine the winner!

12:00pm: Beer Gardens open (Village Plaza)

3:30pm - 6:00pm: Live music with DJ Pump (Village Plaza)

4:30pm: Awards Ceremony (Village Plaza)

6:00pm - 12:00am: Monster Energy Party with DJ Pump, Vinyl Ritchie and others (Griz Bar)
