Val d’Isere will stage its ‘Pistes Gourmandes’ gourmet event this month from 21st - 24th March 2011. Devoted to discovering ethical and authentical products there will be leading chefs and food writers in resort, giving fun demonstrations, tastings, cookery lessons, exhibitions, street festivities, ice sculpture, fruit and vegetable carving.

Les Barmes de l’Ours (www.hotel-les-barmes.com) located at the foot of the Bellevarde Face piste is being promoted as a great base to enjoy the event from, offer Michelin starred dining itself.

Les Barmes de l’Ours successfully combines state of the art facilities with the warm charm of a traditional alpine mountain hotel.
