Freshlines From Treble Cone (13-May-10)

Treble Cone, NZ, May 13, 2010 - The first cm's are accumulating

The first few cm’s are accumulating in the upper Saddle basin and reminding me that winter and another season is fast approaching. Today the “3 Wise Men” as we call the tower mounted snow guns on Main St were lifted into place by helicopter and a third snow groomer arrived to provide increased grooming capacity and security for this winter. The chairs go on the saddle quad tomorrow.

If that’s not reminder enough the influx of staff as all the mountain departments gear up, wading through the 1600 applicants for less than 100 positions and the endless list of little jobs to do before we open surely is.
