France Welcomes Colder Temperatures And New Snow (16-Dec-09)

France, December 16, 2009 - Cold weather has finally arrived

With nearly all the major ski resorts now open, and the rest expected to open this weekend, France has finally received some cold weather to help the snowflakes fall.

There has only been minimal snow fall over the past week with the Pyrenees receiving around 10cm in parts. More snow is expected to fall on Friday and over the weekend.

La Clusaz is reporting the best snow base in the country at 140cm. La Plagne, Alpe d'Huez and Cauterets are all reporting around a metre.
