Epic Powder Days! (01-Sep-10)

Treble Cone, New Zealand, September 1, 2010 - Last Wednesday evening

Last Wednesday evening and Thursday saw some REAL dry, light, soft powder reach the slopes of TC. The fantastic off piste runs in Home Basin were quickly attacked by hungry powder hounds, and once on the lift in the Saddle the eerie silence after a snow was punctured by hooping and hollowing from the lucky winners of first tracks! It has been said by more than a few that this was the best day of the season to date, and for some, one of their favourite's ever!!! We have continued to be regularly topped up this week with temps cold, the snow has remained dry and soft on the upper mountain and springy on the lower half.
