Crystal Mountain To Offer Skiing to June, Maybe July (10-Apr-11)

Crystal Mountain Resort in Washington State, USA, says it no longer has an off-season...

Crystal Mountain Resort in Washington State, USA, says it no longer has an off-season with the addition of the Mt. Rainier Gondola.

Crystal’s winter season will end on April 17 but the extended spring skiing season will begin on April 21. Visitors can ski and board well into June, and possibly into July (as conditions permit), making it the longest ski season in the state.

“Crystal is the only place where you can ride a gondola and eat at Washington’s highest restaurant with the best view of Mt. Rainier,” says Crystal Marketing Director, Tiana Enger. “With the addition of the Mt. Rainier gondola, people of any age, who may have never been to a mountain before, can experience one of Washington state’s best views.”

Spring operations will see the slopes open April 21 to May 8 from Thursday-Sunday, then May 13 to May 22 from Friday-Sunday, then May 28 to May 30 from Saturday-Monday over the US Memorial Day Weekend and in June to at least the 12th on Saturdays and Sunday only.

Gondola hours are from 8:30am to 3pm. Last upload 2:30 p.m and the Green Valley lift will be running in conjunction with the gondola, with the other lifts depending on conditions.
