The Remarkables, NZ, August 27, 2008 - Day pass purchasers for The Remarkables ski area
Day pass purchasers for The Remarkables ski area in Queenstown can enjoy free transport to up to the mountain for the month of September.
Skiers and boarders will be transported on The Remarkables Express, the ski area’s new shuttle service, from the Station building in downtown Queenstown direct to the slopes.
Ski Area Manager Ross Lawrence said the new initiative was designed to help guests get up to the superb snow conditions at The Remarkables with ease and convenience.
“We’ve got great snow everywhere at the Remarks and we’re delighted to be able to offer a free service to help our customers enjoy it.”
“Our new 4x4 buses will transport skiers and boarders to our doorstep quickly and comfortably ready for a great day in the snow,” he added.
The free transport is only available when a day lift ticket is purchased at the Queenstown Snow Centre, Duke Street, and is valid for the same day as the lift ticket. There are a limited number of spaces available each day and these will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Day lift passes for The Remarkables are $87NZ for an adult, $47NZ for a child.
The buses depart the Station Building daily at 8.15, 8.45, 9.15 and stop at the bottom of The Remarkables access road at 8.35, 9.05 and 9.35 en route to the slopes. They return to Queenstown at 2.30, 3.30 and 4.30.
