Canadian Open Freeskiing Championship Goes Off At Red (26-Jan-09)

Red Mountain Resort, Rossland, BC. January 26, 2009 - Canada's premiere big mountain freeski event concluded

Canada's premiere big mountain freeski event concluded with a spectacular show on Saturday Jan. 17th with the Open Finals on Red Mountain Resort's Mount Roberts. The warm sunny weather attracted hundreds of spectators to witness Rossland's Dane Tudor defend his Men's title and Fernie's Janina Kuzma win the Ladie's title.

The competition followed the International Free Skiers Association's (IFSA) Big Mountain Freeskiing format. Skiers were judged on line choice, fluidity, technique, aggression and control. A $12,000 purse was awarded to the top 3 finalists in each category.

3rd - Kasie Stroshin - Whistler, BC
